As per media reports, P. A. Ranjith will again collaborate with actor Arya in an upcoming film. The sequel to the superhit sports drama ‘Sarpatta Parambarai’ is now announced and after that Ranjith’s next film will start shooting.
The official title has not been revealed, but it will probably be named ‘Vetta’. It will be a gangster thriller and Arya is reportedly roped in to play the role of the antagonist. Actor Attakathi Dinesh will be playing the role of the hero.
Chiyaan Vikram’s ‘Thangalaan’ is finally expected to release in June after so many postponements. P. A. Ranjith and Vikram’s collaboration is one of the most anticipated ones in upcoming Tamil films. After this, there are also more movies from Ranjith in the pipeline. He is expected to make movies with Suriya, Karthi and Kamal Hassan soon. There is also a movie that is from Studio Green Productions but there are still no updates about it.
P. A. Ranjith did a great job with his Dalit representation with masterful subtle movies and Sarpatta Parambarai was not an exception. The movie told the story of a young man from a marginalized community who gets a rare chance to revive his career and clan with a tournament. The news of Sarpatta 2 has already managed to excite fans and ‘Vetta’ has added more spice to it.
Vetta will be a full fledged action thriller, with much power politics and Tamil mass masala. The release date and other details will be revealed soon.
