Actress Simran who was a top heroine down the South got married in 2003 and stayed away from the arc lights for some time. She made a comeback in 2008 with a Telugu film and appeared in one and a half dozen films since then but without any luck. The actress is yet to make an impact and build a career.
She has now pinned all hopes on Netflix Tamil Anthology, Paava Kadhaigal which marks her Digital Debut. She plays a strong role as a mother whose little daughter gets married. She kills her own daughter in the name of family honor. That is the most striking of the four stories in Paava Kadhaigal and Simran has got the right role to make an impact on the audience. It has to be seen if this role will usher her new innings in the OTT World. The story of Simran has been directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon who also plays the actress’s husband in it.
Paava Kadhaigal is all set for its premiere on December 18th. This is the second anthology in Tamil after Putham Pudhu Kaalai which was premiered on Amazon Prime Video. Sudha Kongara, Vetri Maaran, and Vignesh Shivan are the directors of the remaining three.
