Paddington In Peru will arrive in theatres on November 8, 2024. It will mark the return of English actor Ben Whishaw, who voices the fan-favourite bear.
The upcoming Paddington entry will serve as a direct sequel to the 2017 film. Apart from Whishaw, the film’s cast consists of Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Olivia Colman, Rachel Zegler, and Antonio Banderas. Furthermore, we have Imelda Staunton voicing Aunt Lucy.
Both previous Paddington films were huge critical and commercial successes. Paul King helmed them. Now, we have a new director in the form of Dougal Wilson, who will make his feature debut with the third instalment. Wilson is best known for his work on several prominent music videos and short films, Largo al factotum (2009) and No Pressure (2010).
The Paddington franchise is inspired by Michael Bond’s Paddington Bear, one of the most lovable fictional characters in children’s literature. The character debuted way back in October 1958 through the novel called ‘A Bear Called Paddington’.
Paddington 3 has two different release windows. Apart from its November 2024 release in the United Kingdom, the film will premiere in the United States on January 17, 2025. Stay tuned for more updates.
