Paraman, the acclaimed Tamil drama movie helmed by J. Sabarish, has finally found its OTT release date after a long wait. While the film garnered mixed reactions from critics, it was more appreciated by viewers, who particularly praised Super Good Subramani’s scene-stealing performance as the titular character.
Debuting in theatres on November 29, 2024, Paraman failed to generate a significant box-office collection during its theatrical run. Surprisingly, its OTT release has come rather late. Despite this, the movie is all set to premiere on Sun NXT on May 1, 2025. The prominent OTT platform officially announced the film’s premiere via its social media channels.

Super Good Subramani portrays Paraman, a dedicated farmer whose world is shattered by deceit and an unjust system. His own partner, Sadai, plots to steal his family’s land using fabricated documents. With the police on Sadai’s side, Paraman is pushed into a legal battle he initially wins, reclaiming his property. However, his respite is short-lived, as the government soon announces plans to acquire his land for a bypass.
Undeterred, Paraman once again confronts the legal system, but this time, the prolonged battle takes a heavy personal toll, leading to his son’s imprisonment and his daughter-in-law’s departure, leaving him and his wife, Kannathaal, isolated in their crumbling home. The film ultimately questions whether justice prevails or if the system fails those it is meant to protect.
Super Good Subramani plays the titular role in Paraman. The rest of the cast includes talents such as Pala Karuppaiyah as Malaisamy, Vaiyapuri as Sivanandi, Hello Kandasamy as Karuppu, VJ Archana as the Collector, Meesai Rajendran as Nehru, Vetrivel Raja as Koonan, and Ashok Tamizh as Veeran.
