Paramount+ has dropped the official teaser of Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming espionage thriller series, Special Ops: Lioness, set to premiere on July 23.
Starring Zoe Saldana in the leading role, the forthcoming series will revolve around Joe (Saldana), who finds herself at the forefront of the CIA’s battle with terrorism while also trying hard to strike a balance between her personal and professional life. She gets enlisted in the Lioness program and partners with an aggressive Marine Raider, Cruz (Laysla De Oliveira), for an undercover mission. Donald Westfield (Michael Kelly) and Kaitlyn Meade (Nicole Kidman) lead the program. Together, they navigate the world of terrorism and tackle all threats to stop another 9/11 from happening.
The latest teaser gives a brief look at what the viewers should expect from the series. The newest clip shows Saldana in fine form and lots of action. Her recent release, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, performed exceptionally well in terms of critical reception and box office performances, grossing over $780 million globally.
Apart from the actors mentioned above, the series’ cast also consists of Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, James Jordan, Morgan Freeman, Martin Donovan, and many more talents.
Sheridan, Saldana, and Kidman also serve as the series’ executive producers. The upcoming show is a product of MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Blossom Films.
Taylor Sheridan has also created shows like Yellowstone and Mayor of Kingstown. In addition, he has helmed Wind River (2017) and Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021).
