Much awaited sequel to Disney+Hotstar‘s Telugu original ‘Parampara’ released its official trailer today. Directed by L. Krishna Vijay and Arigela Vishwanath, ‘Parampara’ season 2 premieres on Disney+ Hotstar on 21st July, 2022. First season of the crime drama premiered last year in the month of December on Disney+ Hotstar and became quite a success. The family revenge thriller gets juicier in its second season.
The trailer starts more like a black and white flashback giving a sneak peek to the first season, hinting that the second season picks up exactly from where the first season ended. Following we have Gopi (Naveen Chandra) behind the bars for killing Naidu and then some new characters are introduced who Gopi will possibly have tussles with this season once he gets his bail. Some old ties severed and new ones formed. The trailer promises an intricate yet promising retelling of betrayal, power-play and vengeance.
‘Parampara’ season 2 stars its original cast and few new additions like Jagapathi Babu, Sarath Kumar, Naveen Chandra, Kasturi Shankar, Ishaan, Naina Ganguly and Aakanksha Singh in major roles. Parampara is modelled on the very typical David Vs Goliath story. An underdog dutiful son, who fights his cunning and ruthless uncle for the honor of his wronged father. Naidu, the patriarch of the Naidu family, and his brother Mohan Rao have an unbreakable bond. But all hell breaks loose when Gopi, Mohanrao’s son, decides to unmask Naidu who has been oppressing Mohanrao all the while faking his love. This sprouts conflict between the brothers and crimes and vengeance following.
Parampara Season 2 is written by Hari Yelleti who has also directed the series alongside L. Krishna Vijay and Arigela Vishwanath. The show is bank-rolled by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni through Ark Media Works. ‘Parampara’ season 2 will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from 21st July, 2022.
