Parineeti Chopra Leaves The Audience Excited With Netflix’s “The Girl On The Train”

Netflix is all set for its first major Hindi language movie release of 2021 and it’s none other than the Parineeti Chopra starrer The Girl On The Train. “TGOTT” is a mystery thriller movie which is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. For those who are not familiar, the movie is based on the 2015 novel of the same name by Paula Hawkins. The novel also gave rise to another feature film which starred Emily Blunt in the lead role in 2016.

Seeing how the remakes suffer in the Indian industry, many people were skeptical of ‘The Girl On The Train’ at first but after the release of a full fledged trailer, it seems that all their doubts have turned into praise for the movie. Netflix released an official trailer for the movie yesterday and since then, the trailer has received positive reviews by majority of the audience.

Fans applauded Parineeti Chopra for taking such a strong role and commented that the trailer carries a sense of mystery and thrill which is worth checking out. Mind you that thrillers and the love for it has suddenly increased in the India. As both the audience and the makers are eyeing to create more content in this genre and on this space. And in the midst of it, arrival of a movie like The Girl On The Train doesn’t seem to absurd.

The trailer follows the story of a young woman named Mira Kapoor who is a struggling alcoholic. She travels in train and in her daily journey she sees another woman named ‘Nusrat’ from the window of the train and aspires to live a life like that. Due to excessive drinking Mira is a subject to constant blackouts and due to that she doesn’t remembers most of her day. One day she finds out that Nusrat has been murdered and she has become the prime suspect. Mira remembers flashes of the night she possibly met with Nusrat and starts to believe that she has killed her. To prove her innocence, Mira herself decides to find what happens that night to Nusrat.

Audience and the fans of Parineeti are excited to see a power-packed performances from her as well as the whole starcast which includes – Aditi Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari, Avinash Tiwary in the crucial roles.

The Girl On The Train arrives on Netflix on 26th February 2021.
