Park Shin-hye vs Song Joong-ki, As Netflix Sees Biggest K-Drama Clash

As Netflix is trying to expand its presence in Asia, it is trying to include more and more content from all over Asia that has people interested. Out of the various types of content Asian countries provide, K-Dramas play one of the major roles and this month, we have two of the biggest stories coming to us through Netflix. “Sisyphus: The Myth” and “Vincenzo” are those two K-Dramas that will be streaming on Netflix from 17th and 20th February, 2021 respectively.

Sisyphus: The Myth is a dystopian action thriller that stars one of the biggest Korean actress Park Shin-hye in the lead along with Cho Seung-woo. The drama focuses on the character played by Park Shin-hye, who comes from the future. A future where Korea and the rest of the world is war torn and facing some of the worst crises out there. As she comes into the present, she looks around for the CEO of an esteemed coding company that has produced some of the biggest innovations in the modern world.

Both Tae Sul, who is the CEO and Seo Hae, the lady from the future fight their ways through goons, warlords and some way too big a built guys as they try to solve the mysteries of CEO’s dead brother and redo something that can help change the future where Seo Hae lives.

On the other hand we have the mafia series, “Vincenzo” coming to Netflix on the 20th of this month. The series stars Song Joong ki, Jun Yeo bin and Ok Taecyeon in the lead roles, with Joong-ki playing the titular role of Italian Mafia Vinncezo Casano, who returns to South Korea after a long fight amongst his own mafia family. A lawyer by profession, he stops at nothing to punish someone doing the wrong. But are his ways the right ways? This is a story of crimes being fought with crime itself.

With two big stars like Song Joong-ki and Park Shin-hye fighting it out for ratings this month, it will definitely be a tough one. Sisyphus: The Myth is regarded as the 10th Anniversary Special for South Korea’s one of the most popular cable TV channels JTBC. These two dramas will most definitely butt heads as not only the stars have a massive following, the stories too are some of the most powerful ones to be showcased as Korean Dramas.
