The official trailer for ‘Parnashavarir Shaap’ is out now. It will be a horror show based on the novel of the same name by Souvik Chakroborty. The series comes from the much loved regional OTT platform Hoichoi. A dramatized audiobook version of ‘Parnashavarir Shaap’ got highly popular on the Radio programme Sunday Suspense.
Parnashavarir Shaap is directed by actor-director Parambrata Chattopadhyay. The show stars Chiranjeet Chakroborty in the lead role and also has actors like Surangana Bandyopadhyay, Gaurav Chakroborty, Arna Bose and Anindita Mukhopadhyay. It will stream from November 10th.
Chiranjeet looks promising as the mysterious Bhaduri Moshai. The performances of other actors too look good. The trailer is really well cut and it might not go down the usual tracks of horror. Parambrata has made quite a name as a filmmaker with movies like ‘Abhijaan’ and there is a lot of trust in him, it puts a lot of responsibility on his shoulders too. ‘Parnashavarir Shaap’ is anticipated by a huge number of horror fans.
The show tells the story of a group of tourists that come to the serene hill station of Chamakpur. There lives a goddess named Parnashavari, who is otherwise benevolent, but turns malicious once disturbed. The group causes some interruption for the goddess and a young girl of the team, played by Surangana, gets possessed. Her life along with all others’ are put into danger and they can find no way out. At this time, Bhaduri Moshai, an aged gentleman comes to their help and does what he can do. Even though the character is very clichéd, Bhaduri Moshai might find a good fan base in the OTT space as he did in the story section.
