Lyca Productions have released the title and first official poster for the movie ‘Pattathu Arasan’. Tamil actor Atharvaa Murali will be starring in the movie. The shooting for the movie started earlier this year in August. The movie was tentatively titled ‘Production No. 22’ before the official announcement.
Debutant actress Ashika Ranganath will be playing the female lead and Rajkiran, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Jaya Prakash, RK Suresh, Singam Puli, Bala Saravanan and GM Kumar will play other important roles in the movie.
Tamil Filmmaker Sarkunam will be helming the project. This will be the second time the director is working with Atharvaa Murali. They have worked together in the 2015 action drama ‘Chandi Veeran’. ‘Pattathu Arasan’ will most likely be a family drama. Nothing much about the plot is revealed till now. Sarkuman is well known for directing movies like ‘Kalavani 1 and 2’, ‘Manjapai’, ‘Naiyaandi’, ‘Vaagai Suda Pa’.
The music score of the movie is composed by veteran composer M. Ghibran. He is famous for composing the music of films like ‘Ratsasan’, ‘Maara’, ‘Vishwaroopam’, ‘Petromax’ and many more. The music surely will be an asset for the film.
Atharvaa was last seen in the Netflix anthology ‘Navarasa’ in the short ‘Thunintha Pin’, ‘Thalli Pogathey’ that released last year and ‘Kuruthi Aattam’ which had its release earlier this year but was not recieved by the audience very well. The actor will next be seen in Othaikku Othai directed by Barnesh.
Pattathu Arasan is the production of Lyca Productions, which has given blockbusters like Ponniyin Selvan, 2.0 and many more. So there are high hopes for the movie. Lyca will be presenting the much anticipated sequels of Ponniyin Selvan and Kamal Hassan’s Indian that are lined up for release in 2023.
