Bettany confirmed this case after a fan asked about his highly-anticipated MCU return.
Fan: “In any way, shape, or form, will Vision return? Or are you going to return to the MCU?”
Bettany: “Well, yeah… I mean, why wouldn’t I? Yes, 100%.”
Considering his response, it seems like Bettany could reprise his role of White Vision in the MCU. We all know that Thanos killed the original Vision in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) in front of Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen). After aiding the Avengers in Endgame (2019) in defeating the Mad Titan for good, Wanda visits the S.W.O.R.D headquarters to retrieve Vision’s body. Agatha discovers that both Wanda and Vision bought a plot in the Westview so that they could stay there together. Upon reaching there alone, Wanda feels a strong wave of grief. During that moment, she unintentionally manifests a house, a new Vision, and extends the Hex across the entire town.
In WandaVision’s finale, Hayward activates the White Vision to terminate Wanda and the Hex Vision. Soon, we see the White Vision and the Hex Vision fighting with each other. After a lengthy fight, both realise they were created from the original Vision, who is no more. This allows the Hex Vision to press the control on the White Vision’s forehead, enabling the latter to experience the original Vision’s past life and his love for Wanda. Out of nowhere, the White Vision decides to leave the Hex.
It is safe to say that we do not know the whereabouts of the White Vision. The character has not appeared in any Marvel project after WandaVision. It is possible Paul Bettany could play the White Vision again. The character could appear briefly in Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, as this series shares strong ties with the events of WandaVision. He could encounter Agatha to know more about himself and Wanda. Or he could appear in the rumoured Vision Quest series, which may give the White Vision a full-fledged role. In 2022, a prominent scooper, Jeff Sneider (The Hot Mic podcast), disclosed that Disney and Marvel Studios planned to make a Disney+ series based on Vision. However, Marvel Studios are yet to confirm this news. Stay tuned for more updates.
