The trailer for the second collaboration of Tollywood household names like actor Pawan Kalyan and director Harish Shankar, Ustaad Bhagat Singh sets the premise of a dark and gritty fight against injustice. The teaser proceeds as photo montages of strength and weapons, against a celebratory backdrop.
The upbeat background score sets an oxymoronic scene as goddess Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy’s name is hailed and chanted all around. The protagonist (un)like most Tollywood films is a stereotypical Robin Hood-esque cop whose answer to injustice is evidently, violence. Kalyan, starring as Bhagat Singh, is portrayed as a one-man army.
A rowdy police inspector, the protagonist is visibly hell-bent on correcting wrongs by the use of brute force. He is seen referring to the strength of a shard of glass as the strength of his invisible army. The same can be understood from the poster of the film as well. A lone man, set on the path of righteousness against all odds; the general public, his supporters in the backdrop, standing tall against their common fallen enemies. His path is a vibrant yellow hue. Whether it signifies flowers or the bright burn of fire, will be a question answered well only after the release of the film!
