“Weapons” was initially supposed to be a horror film but took a more horrifying turn when Pedro Pascal exited for another project. The actor has been thriving in the industry with major titles like “The Last Of Us” and “The Mandalorian.”
It’s about time the MCU included Fantastic Four in their universe, and they are doing it with some big names in the industry.
While not many details are out about “Weapons,” the filmmakers chose to keep things mystic, wearing a gown. However, with the hiring of such a big name, reports suggest it will be a multi-volume horror epic, reminiscent of PT Anderson’s 1999 film “Magnolia.”
This clash wasn’t intended, as Marvel’s Fantastic Four planned to start filming in April 2024, but a major delay hit. Additionally, Pascal’s hectic schedule includes filming the second season of “The Last Of Us” next month, adding to the challenges.
Pedro Pascal is set to play the role of Reed Richards, previously portrayed by John Krasinski, who was a fan-favorite for the character. However, after “Multiverse Of Madness,” Krasinski confirmed Marvel hadn’t contacted him for the role.
Regarding Marvel’s Fantastic Four, another rumor circulating the internet is about Nolan’s favorite, Cillian Murphy, playing Dr. Doom. If executed correctly, Murphy could nail the role, and Doom could play a significant part in “Secret Wars” and the upcoming timeline.
