Stephen King is arguably the writer whose works have been adapted for films the most. His stories and novels have been made into wonderful movies like ‘The Shining’, ‘The Shawshank Redemption’, ‘The Dark Tower’, ‘It’, ‘Firestarter’, ‘Doctor Sleep’ and many many more.
Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, a much anticipated adaptation of the horror story from Stephen King has now set a release date. Paramount+ has also released the first poster for it. The film will be released on the 6th of October.
Screenwriter Lindsey Beer has directed the movie and it is his directorial debut. The movie will serve as a prequel to the movie ‘Pet Sematary’ written by the same author. Stephen King has proclaimed that Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is the scariest story by the writer.
The movie will be telling the story of a young boy who gets nightmares of leaving the township but is bound by some evil energy that he must defeat along with all his childhood friends. He confronts a dark family history that unravels itself in a very sensitive time.
The movie will star actors like Isabella Star LaBlanc, Forrest Goodluck, Jackson White, Jack Mulhern, Henry Thomas and many more. The poster is scary as well. In a scarlet background a cemetery is being featured in all black. A scary bear mask on a cross and a raven on it makes it all the more sinister. The Paramount original is, as per King himself, the scariest story by him. So it will definitely be watched by the huge reader base of the writer and horror fans too are eagerly waiting for the movie. Pet Sematary: Bloodlines will be released on the 6th of October.
