The official teaser for Prabhu Deva’s upcoming Tamil movie ‘Petta Rap’ is out now. It will be a musical actioner. It will be a mass masala commercial venture where Prabhu Deva plays an aspiring actor who falls in love with a band owner.
‘Petta Rap’ is directed by SJ Sinu who is a well known filmmaker in the Malayalam film industry. He is known for directing films like ‘Djibouti’ and ‘Theru’. The screenplay is written by Dinil PK. Music will play an important role in the movie. The music is given by D Imman and the cinematography is handled by Jithu Damodhar. Vedhika will be playing the female lead and actors like Bagavathi Perumal, Vivek Prasanna, Ramesh Thilak, Mime Gopi and Royaz Khan will also play important roles in the movie. The movie is being produced by Jobi P Sam under the banner of Blue Hill Productions.
The teaser looks good: with colours and music it is vibrant and cheery.
The title of the movie comes from the superhit song featuring Prabhu Deva from the 1994 movie Kadhalan which became a country-wide phenomena. The plot details are not revealed and the release date too is not disclosed now. The trailer is going to be released soon and there will be more information about the movie.
Prabhu Deva has an interesting line-up this year. He will also be bringing out ‘Jolly O Gymkhana’ and ‘Moon Walk’. Moon Walk is going to be interesting because he collaborates with AR Rahman after 25 long years.
