The first poster for ‘Joker 2’ has been released. After so many behind the scene photos and leaked pictures making the audience crave for more, finally, the official poster is here. But there will of course be many other crazy posters, and this is just the beginning of the ride.
Joaquín Phoenix reprises his role as Arthur Fleck, the derailed wannabe comedian who goes on killing people who make fun of him. Lady Gaga joins him as the female lead for the second installment of the franchise. The full name of the movie is ‘Joker 2: Folie À Deux’. Folie À Deux is a French term that means ‘madness shared by two’. Of course, Lady Gaga as the notorious Harley Quinn is an important addition in the film and the madness shared by Quinn and Fleck will be one interesting thing to see.
Joker: Folie À Deux is directed by Todd Phillips, who had also directed the first movie in 2019. The screenplay is written by Phillips and Scott Silver. The music of the film is given by Hildur Guðnadóttir and the cinematography is handled by Lawrence Sher. Sher was nominated for the Oscars for his wonderful cinematography in ‘Joker’.
The movie is about to release on the 4th of October this year. It is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and it might be a strong contender for the next Oscars. The first trailer will be released on the 9th of April.
