Streaming and E-commerce giant Amazon Prime is contemplating the idea of providing phone plans to Prime members in the USA. What’s more, the mobile phone plans that Amazon Prime will give will either be dirt cheap or absolutely free for Prime members. As of now, Amazon Prime is planning to make available phone services to Prime members only in the USA.
Various reports in several media publications have confirmed that the e-commerce and digital entertainment giant is in talks with Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T and Dish to provide mobile phone connectivity via their networks to Prime subscribers. The news was first reported by business publication, Bloomberg.
The phone services idea is in keeping with Amazon Prime’s strategy to deliver multiple benefits to users who subscribe to the Prime membership of the company. A single Prime membership gives users access to free and speedy delivery on its e-commerce portal, subscription to its streaming service, along with access to Amazon Music, Amazon Reading, Amazon Gaming, and much more.
Amazon Prime has reportedly denied the news of any plans at the company of providing mobile connectivity to Prime subscribers. Separately, Verizon, T-Mobile, Dish and AT&T have also denied that they are in talks with Amazon Prime to provide wireless services to Prime users.
