A new film based on the 1971 war has been announced. Pippa is the name of the film that will star Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur in the lead role.
We have not seen a good war film in recent years. JP Dutta is extremely famous for making war films. He directed some movies like Border, LOC Kargil and Paltan that have developed a cult following over time. His snappy dialogues, emotional aspects in a war is something we all miss.
But after the announcement of Pippa, we may finally see a worthy film based on war. The director of the film is none other than Raja Krishna Menon. If you don’t remember, he was the same director who helmed the 2016 film Airlift starring Akshay Kumar.
Apart from Ishaan and Mrunal, the film will also feature Soni Razdan and Priyanshu Painyuli.
Even the music of the film will be given by the legendary AR Rahman.
The film as of now is scheduled to release on 9th December 2022.
Ishaan Khatter is a very talented actor. He’s starred in multiple projects that also includes Phone Bhoot with Katrina Kaif.
Mrunal Thakur is also getting her next release with Ishaan Khatter’s elder brother Shahid Kapoor in Jersey.
It will be interesting to see whether this film turns out to be worthy.
