Netflix has unveiled the trailer of Pittakathalu – its Telugu anthology inspired by Lust Stories (2018). The best part of the trailer or for that matter the film is the stellar star cast that includes Shruti Hassan, Amala Paul, Eesha Rebba, Lakshmi Manchu, Jagapathi Babu, and Satyadev. The four bold stories were handled by highly talented directors, Tharun Bhascker, Nandini Reddy, Nag Ashwin, and Sankalp Reddy.
When compared to the anthologies coming in Tamil, an adaptation or an inspiration will definitely disappoint the Telugu audience.
The trailer cut seems like a half-baked effort which is more like selling steamy scenes with some big names down the South. It does not interest the audience or try to engross them in the four unconventional stories.
We feel like they rushed into several things trying to cover all the stories and characters. One example of the bad cut is how Lakshmi Manchu’s dialogue has ended abruptly. We can only hope things are far different in the movie! Pitta Kathalu will stream on Netflix from February 19th.
