The Tamil movie of the year is now streaming on Prime Video. Mani Ratnam’s dream project is a huge blockbuster in theaters and was star-studded with Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Shobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi and a lot more.
Did you even imagine that one of the biggest movies ever will simply start streaming without any prior notice or promotional campaign?
It is tough to imagine but that’s the typical Prime Video behavior for you. The movie is now streaming on Prime Video Store in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. There is no news about the Hindi audio of the movie and surprisingly it is streaming only in HD.
However, the reports of the movie getting released on the Prime Video store were not taken with too much pleasure and it looks like a step taken in helplessness rather than strategy.
Viewers would have to pay ₹199 for renting the movie and from the 4th of November onwards, it will be available for regular streaming.
Regardless, there was news that the HD print of the movie has been leaked and this step by Prime Video may be a reflex action. When Panchayat Season 2 was leaked then also, Prime Video released it two days before.
It might be true that the film was set to be released on 4th November but the leak made it drop first on Store.
