Radhika Madan has finished filming Homi Adajania’s upcoming untitled project. Plus, the actress is busy in the production works of Kuttey and Sanaa. The latter is written and helmed by Loev fame Sudhanshu Saria. And this project has just added one more Bollywood veteran to itself. She is none other than Pooja Bhatt.
According to Sanaa’s official synopsis, Madan will portray the character of a strong and hard-working girl who has ambitions to achieve something big in her life. However, she is also entangled in a battle with a sore trauma of the past.
Bhatt got a leading role in Bollywood after a long-acting hiatus in the Netflix show, Bombay Begums, this year. She played a prominent fictional bank’s CEO named Rani Irani in that one. Also, she appeared in Mahesh Bhatt’s disastrous Sadak 2 (2020) via a special cameo. Furthermore, she is busy working on Chup: Revenge Of The Artist these days.
The forthcoming Pooja Bhatt’s project explores and points out the perception Indian society treasures about women. It will also force many characters in the film to push their limits and come out of their shells.
“I am thrilled and honoured that Sudhanshu made me a part of this truly important film-one that examines the lives of women as we actually live it and not in a way the world thinks or wishes that we do,” Bhatt revealed in a recently released statement.
Even the director has also expressed his excitement about Bhatt becoming a part of Sanaa. He strongly believes that ‘Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi’ girl “thoroughly fits the bill for this tailor-made role” in his upcoming directional. Apart from Sanaa, Saria has been roped in by Junglee Pictures to direct a female-led spy project, Ulajh.
Sanaa stars Radhika Madan, Pooja Bhatt, Soham Shah, and Shikha Talsania. It is being produced under the banner of Four Line Entertainment. The leading lady, Madan, commenced filming last month. The film may come out in the second half of 2022.
