This television film follows Billy Cranston (David Yost – Blue Ranger) and the rest of the team, including Zack Taylor (Walter Emanuel Jones- Black Ranger), Rocky DeSantos (Steve Cardenas – Red Ranger), and Katherine Hillard (Catherine Sutherland – Pink Ranger). Billy’s failure to bring back Zordon unexpectedly lures Rita Repulsa back into the real world, who gets a new life as a cyborg. She starts attacking Rangers with the help of Snnizzard and Minotaur and eliminates Trini (Yellow Ranger). Trini’s daughter Minh joins the remaining Rangers as the new Yellow Ranger, seeking revenge and becoming a new hero in the face of this classic villain’s reignited terror.
Apart from celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Power Rangers franchise, “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always” also serves as a nostalgic and worthy addition to the franchise. It brings back the original cast and captures the classic “Power Rangers” feel, perfect for fans who grew up with the show. The movie honours the legacy of the franchise while introducing a new generation of heroes, such as Minh.
