According to the sources of Pinkvilla, South actor Prabhas is teaming up with Bhale Bhale Magadivoy director, Maruthi for a supernatural action thriller. RRR fame, DVV Danayya will produce this movie under DVV entertainment.
The shooting will commence as early as possible, by May end/early June. Prabhas has assigned approximately 100 days for the shoot and intends to finish up the project by the end of this year.
Sources of Pinkvilla further revealed that Prabhas is very enthusiastic about the supernatural theme and is eagerly keen in delving deep into this space.
Currently he has a lineup of big banner Pan India movies like Adipurush, Salaar and Project K, but still he didn’t hesitate to do a relatively short film like this upcoming thriller. He is now steer clear in his head that he wants to choose scripts on the basis of the plot and content, rather than the budget or scale.
As of now there are no confirmation whether it’s going to be Pan India film, or just a Tamil/Telugu bilingual. Also the rest of the ensemble cast/crew are yet to be finalised.
Meanwhile, this year, he will be handling a slew of projects in his pipeline like Salaar(opposite Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumara), Project K (Deepika Padukone) and so far the untitled Maruthi directorial. Salaar and the Maruthi directorial’s shoot is most probably going to be wrapped up by end of this year, but Project K shoot will proceed until mid of 2023.
