Prabu Solomon’s highly acclaimed Tamil adventure drama film ‘Sembi’ is now set for its digital launch and Disney+ Hotstar has acquired the streaming rights for the same.
‘Sembi’ is the story of a ten year old girl Sembi and her grandmother Veerathayi, an apiarist, who live peacefully in the beautiful hilly region of Kodaikanal. But a horrible incident changes their lives and they get trapped by police. The film follows their eventful journey alongside 24 other passengers onboard a bus called Anbu, from their home to Dindigul.
Written and directed Prabu Solomon, ‘Sembi’ stars Kovai Sarala, Ashwin Kumar, Lakshmikanthan, Thambi Ramaiah and Nanjil Sampath among others. The film released in theatres last month and received positive reviews from both critics and audience.
M. Jeevan has handled it he cinematography for ‘Sembi’ with editing by Buvan. Nivas K. Prasanna has composed music for the film. The film is produced by R. Ravindran, Ajmal Khan and Reyaa. The production companies behind the film are Trident Arts and AR Entertainment. ‘Sembi’ will premiere soon only on Disney+ Hotstar in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
