Amazon miniTV is gearing up to release a unique new series, aimed at the young adult section of viewers in the country. The series is titled ‘Pret Boys’, with ‘Pret’ being the Hindi word for a ghost, or more specifically a spirit. All episodes of ‘Pret Boys’ premiere on Amazon miniTV on 21st June, 2023.
Amazon miniTV’s ‘Pret Boys’ mixes horror and humour, to serve up a chilling though hilarious cocktail of fun for the audiences. The trailer of the upcoming horror comedy ‘Pret Boys’ gives us ample hint of the story of the series. Three Gen Z misfits start a quirky start-up called PretBoys.com, their USP being their supposed ghost-busting abilities. Prem comes from a line of tantriks, tech geek Tatsat is a paranormal research-enthusiast and desi boy Rajat is the business brain. Eisha is a sharp-witty young girl who joins the gang. The horror begins when the bunch gets caught up in clutches of a dark and evil force, with the ability to turn them into ‘prets’ themselves.
‘Pret Boys’ stars actors Shardul Pandit, Anchal Munjal, Ritik Ghansani and Ahan Nirban in primary roles. The official synopsis of ‘Pret Boys’ reads, “Prem, Tatsat, and Rajat, three misfits, launch a start-up focused on busting ghosts. With their unique abilities and a chance encounter with Eisha, a girl who could see ghosts, their team battles various supernatural entities. But they soon discover a dark force threatening the world. As they face challenges and gather allies, their unity and skills become key to their fight against the ancient evil. With love and determination, they confront the malevolent force in a climactic battle at a forgotten temple”.
