Pretty Little Liars Original Sin are soon coming on Prime Video. By soon, we mean as soon as two days as the series will drop on July 21st. But there is something hugely problematic in that.
Let’s remind you of something which happened with Prime Video‘s very own Panchayat Season 2. The series was set to premiere on May 20 but it started streaming on May 18 itself.
The reason behind this is Prime Video USA. It was reported that the entire series started streaming on Prime Video USA on May 18th and in no time, the whole series got leaked. Given the insane buzz of the series, people didn’t wait for enough and unwantedly Prime Video had to release the series beforehand.
Something similar might happen to Pretty Little Liars Original Sin. Let’s clarify that, unlike Prime Video, the series will drop 7 days later ie on July 28 on HBO Max.

This is an insane decision as the series has zero buzzes in India. Hardly any appreciable number of people will watch it but it will certainly hamper the views in the USA.
This strange decision doesn’t look to be much thought out but that’s what it is. Looks like HBO in their collaboration with Prime Video forgot or chose to ignore the existence of piracy. It will be interesting to see how fruitful this decision comes out to be.
