Analysis:
The month of April had been quite insignificant for Amazin Prime Video. There has been absolutely no licensed movies. And the original shows that the platform has released this month, failed to make any noise. There was ‘Dil Dosti Dilemma’ starring Anushka Sen, which tries to go the typical TVF way but fails. The third season of ‘Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare’ gathers some views but not as heavily as the first two seasons. Yeh Meri Family season 3 was quite good.
There also had been a lot of licensed movies. The critically acclaimed ‘Joram’ and Kriti-Shahid’s ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ got decent views. Big titles like ‘Yodha’ and ‘Family Star’ did not do well enough. Regional movies like ‘Yatra 2’, ‘Anchakkallakokkan’ and ‘J.Baby’ performed well at the platform. But the overall performance of the platform in the month of April cannot be rated any more than 5 out of 10.
