Prime Video India announced their new series last week, titled ‘BGDC’ aka ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’. Now we have the first teaser and release date for the series. BGDC premieres on Prime Video worldwide on 14th March, 2024.
Prime Video’s BGDC is a teen drama, that follows a bunch of girls that study and live in a residential school for girls. The series will likely focus on their myriad issues, friendships, rivalries, insecurities, crushes, teenage angst and more.
Pooja Bhatt stars as the principal of the school. Zoya Hussain, Lovleen Misra, Mukul Chadda, Raima Sen, Dalai Tenzin Lhakyila, Avantika Vandanapu, Aneet Padda, Akshita Sood, Afrah Sayed, Vidushi, among others are form the rest of the cast.
Film buffs will know Avantika Vandanapu from her recent Hollywood hit ‘Mean Girls’. The Indian – American actress played the sassy Karen Shetty in the ‘Mean Girls’ reboot. Telugu film lovers will know her from her child artiste role in 2016 film Brahmotsavam, where she co-starred with superstar Mahesh Babu
Big Girls Don’t Cry (BGDC) is directed by Nitya Mehra, Karan Kapadia, Kopal Naithani and Sudhanshu Saria. It is written by Sudhanshu Saria, Adwitiya Kareng Das, Sunayana Kumari and Radhika Malhotra. The series is produced by Ashi Dua Sara and Karan Kapadia, and created by Nitya Mehra.
