Tumbbad is making rage on the big screens. The movie was first released in 2018 and failed to attract audiences. But, the OTT came as a rescue for the film as the people loved it through and through. The frames, the concept, the performance and the brilliant editing helped the movie gain a cult following.
With the re-release trends dominating the market, it was but natural that the people would demand Tumbbad on the big screens. Thankfully, Laila Majnu seems to have paved the way for Tumbbad to gain a grand re-release.
The movie was available to stream on Prime Video but the platform has temporarily removed the film due to its highly sensational re-release.
Now to ensure that people swarm around Prime Video after the rage of re-release dies down, the platform has done something really interesting.
They picked the cast of their flagship series Panchayat and have released a lot of super engaging clips. You can check them out on Prime Video’s Instagram page.
This is indeed a brilliant move as the platform will get the much-needed hype that Tumbbad will later capitalise on. Also, this might be a way to attract a following for Rahi Anil Barve to come up with an update on the much awaited Gulkanda Tales. Let’s see how quickly these things take place.
