Prime Video is much better in the diversity score if we compare it to Netflix. But, there is a big problem. They are highly inconsistent in their audio delivery. A recent example is seen in Hush Hush. Although they did a more than tremendous job in Suzhal: The Vortex, they simply forgot to continue that trend.
Regardless, people are complaining about the problem in Hush Hush. The show is a good one-time watch and got good reviews from critics. But for every show/film to get fully recognized, it should have accessibility amongst a wide spectrum of people. Hush Hush simply fails to do so.
The show is available only in original Hindi audio and it is simply NOT done in 2022. We realize that there are subtitles, but it is not everyone’s comfort zone to watch a movie while reading subtitles. Thus it is always better to release a show in multiple languages.
But, the reason remains obscure. Whenever they release a Hindi series then they normally tend to NOT release it in any South Indian languages. A less popular foreign film such as The Peripheral is getting dubbed in 5 Indian languages on Prime Video and then there is Hush Hush.
This is harmful to no one except Prime Video and the subscribers of the platform. Binged has pointed it out earlier but there doesn’t seem to be any improvement.
