Prime Video has unveiled the trailer for it’s upcoming new series ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ coming from the makers of ‘Panchayat’. Directed by Rahul Pandey, ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ is all set to premiere on Prime Video on 9th May, 2025.
The trailer follows a newly appointed medical officer Dr. Prabhat at a neglected government primary health center in a North Indian village. As he tries to convince the villagers to take the free treatment from him at the government facility he faces multiple challenges including the corrupt system, fake doctor, goons and much more.
‘Gram Chikitsalay’ trailer starts simple but becomes too hotch-porch towards the end. The chaos is supposed to create a sense of fun and intrigue rather it does the opposite and does not look pleasing at all. Also, one cannot help but see a reflection of ‘Panchayat’ in every frame and ultimately end up comparing the too.
TVF’s latest offering doesn’t look novel and instead tries hard to echo the ‘Panchayat’ charm. But will it be able to do so? The ensemble cast is promising but will that be enough to pull through when you have your own standards to beat.
Directed by Rahul Pandey, ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ stars Amol Parashar, Vinay Pathak, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Akash Makhija, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, and Garima Vikrant Singh among others.
