Prime Video India has just dropped the first teaser for its upcoming series ‘Indian Police Force’. The Sidharth Malhotra-headlined series is an extension of Rohit Shetty’s much-talked-about CopVerse, albeit in the form of a web series on Prime Video. Indian Police Force premieres on Prime Video worldwide on 19th January, 2024, just in time for Republic Day in India.
Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force follows in the footsteps of his other successful cop titles, forming an interesting CopVerse of sorts. Singham, Simbba and Sooryavanshi are the three Rohit Shetty films set in the backdrop of the workings of the Indian police.
The Indian Police Force teaser shows off all three lead protagonists of the series in action – Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi. The one-minute long teaser opens with a series of bomb blasts wreaking devastation in the Indian capital city. Subsequent sequences show that the series will centre on Islamic terrorism and the mayhem they unleash.
The final shot of the Indian Police Force teaser shows a child suicide bomber in the throes of setting off the bomb strapped to his body, even as the haunting sound of a ticking clock plays in the background. The series is directed by Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash, and jointly produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez and Reliance Entertainment.
Besides Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi, Indian Police Force features an ensemble cast, including Isha Talwar, Vibhuti Thakur, Karanvir Malhotra, Nikitin Dheer, Shweta Tiwari, Sharad Kelkar, Mukesh Rishi, Mrinal Kulkarni, Mayyank Taandon, Vaidehi Parashurami and Ritu Raj Singh, among others.
