Simone Ashley, known for her role in “Bridgerton,” is joining forces with Hero Fiennes Tiffin from “After” for an upcoming romantic comedy. The film draws inspiration from Prime Video’s Australian original, “Five Blind Dates,” penned by Shaung Hu and Nathan Ramos-Park.
Titled “Picture This,” the story revolves around Pia (played by Simone Ashley), a single woman managing a struggling photography studio in London alongside her best friend Jay (Luke Fetherston). Encouraged by her family to find love, particularly during her sister Sonal’s impending wedding, Pia embarks on a series of blind dates orchestrated by her well-meaning but meddling relatives. Amidst the comical chaos, Pia embarks on a genuine quest for love, guided by a prediction from a spiritual guru at her sister’s engagement party.
Directed by Prarthana Mohan and scripted by Nikita Lalwani, and produced by 42’s Ben Pugh and Erica Steinberg, with John Horsfield and Kari Hatfield serving as Executive Producers, this UK original promises a blend of humor and heartfelt romance against the backdrop of London’s vibrant landscape.
