Prime Video’s TV adaptation of Lee Child’s first Jack Reacher novel, Killing Floor, was a huge critical and streaming success. Both critics and viewers praised Alan Ritchson’s brawny but charming persona as Reacher. In addition, they loved the show’s faithfulness to the source material, its overall theme, and its acting performances. The first season showed certain characters as heroes, like Roscoe (Willa Fitzgerald) and Finlay (Malcolm Goodwin). Both these characters worked for Margrave PD. They added extra depth to the storyline and significantly aided Season 1 in becoming a memorable watching experience. However, this all can change in Season 2!
Reacher will get involved in a whole different crime-fighting adventure in the second season, which will be inspired by Lee Child’s 11th Reacher novel, “Bad Luck and Trouble”. This book focuses on the protagonist teaming up with his old military unit to solve the murder case of one of his old colleagues.
Season 2 will have many bad guys, and most of them will be police officers. On the other hand, we had cops like Roscoe and Finlay as heroes in Season 1.
In the second season, we will see Reacher and one of his old friends trying to unravel the mystery of their friend’s mysterious and brutal murder. This event will share a close connection with a large illegal scheme, run by former and local cops. The show’s protagonist will indeed have a different perspective on law enforcement in the upcoming season. He will have to accept the fact that not all cops are good. In fact, some of them are deeply corrupt. This scenario will surely make Season 2 a thrilling addition to the Reacher series.
We do not have an exact release window for Reacher Season 2. But it is expected to arrive on Prime Video in December this year. Stay tuned for more updates.
