Whatever Prithviraj Sukumaran does, he does it in style. Each of his teases or announcements ooze oodles of style and chutzpah. This evening, on the eve of his birthday, the Malayalam star has dropped a veritable bombshell — the first look of his new project. The first look poster of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming project is simply arresting. The star hasn’t shared anything else about the new content, just that the official announcement will come tomorrow, 16th October, which happens to be his birthday.
But Prithviraj Sukumaran’s eagle-eyed fans, including us, are not to be outdone. We had earlier reported that Prithviraj Sukumaran is all set to make his debut in the world of web series with a show on the infamous ‘Biscuit King’ Rajan Pillai. Well, as per our understanding, the teaser poster unveiled by Prithviraj Sukumaran today is a precursor to the announcement tomorrow, of this very show.

Last year, we at Binged had reported that Prithviraj Sukumaran will direct his first ever web series – a Hindi web series. The series will tell the interesting story of India’s ‘Biscuit King’ Rajan Pillai. It will chronicle the meteoric rise and astonishing fall of the erstwhile head of biscuits and confectionery giant, Britannia Industries.
Now we know for certain that the upcoming Prithviraj Sukumaran show will premiere on streaming giant, Netflix. The series is produced by Yoodlee Films, the content production arm of music behemoth, Saregama. Prithviraj Sukumaran will not only direct the series but will also essay the role of Rajan Pillai in it.
The story of the Biscuit King of India is no less intriguing than the best of soap operas. There’s crime, scams, money, police chases, interpol alerts, corporate drama, deceit and betrayal in Rajan Pillai’s story, ultimately culminating in his mysterious death in police custody. There’s also a whiff of conspiracy in his untimely death. All this makes Rajan Pillai’s life story an interesting subject for a series.
The series on the ‘Biscuit King’ was announced in October last year. Production began on it in mid-2022. Now the show seems to be ready for streaming in the next month or so.
