Kaapa is the latest film starring Prithviraj Sukumaran. The exceptionally talented actor gave some extremely fine performances in films like Jana Gana Mana and Kaduva. However, after widespread appreciation, Kaapa failed to do the same.
The movie received mixed to bad reviews from the critics and even the audience didn’t receive it too warmly.
Regardless, the film is heading to its OTT release now. Kaapa was released on the 22nd of December and following the tradition, it would start streaming within one month of completing its theatrical run.
Kaapa apart from Prithviraj Sukumaran stars Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali, Anna Ben, Dileesh Pothan, and more. Directed by Shaji Kailas the movie is an action thriller with a lot of clichés.
The story revolves around a couple that moves to Thiruvananthapuram. After arriving in the city, the husband finds his wife’s name in Kerala Anti-social Activities Prevention Act” (KAAPA).
He tries with all his might to get his wife’s name cleared from the list but such things never get easy. In the course of events, he gets trapped in the local gang war.
The film’s streaming rights were bagged by Netflix India and it would start streaming on the platform from the 19th of January. Thus if you missed Kaapa in theaters then you may give it a second chance on Netflix.
