Ever since Prithviraj Sukumaran launched the trailer of “Kuruthi” on his social media, the film has been garnering a lot of interest and attention from audiences. The upcoming Malayalam film has had a lot of buzz since long. But the release of the Kuruthi trailer has sent the anticipation and excitement for the film rocketing sky high. Kuruthi has skipped theatres and will release directly on Amazon Prime Video on 1th August. The Kuruthi trailer was launched on 4th August, and it has been making waves ever since.
Not just viewers, but also film industry folk are impressed with the trailer of Kuruthi, which promises a gritty, hard-hitting film. Malayalam film industry luminaries such as Mohanlal and Dulquer Salmaan have expressed their appreciation of the Kuruthi trailer. They have even posted on social media about how eagerly they are awaiting the film’s release. Other South film industries folks too have lauded the trailer on social media.
And now, not just the South, but even Bollywood has joined the bandwagon. The latest film industry bigwig to tweet about the Kuruthi trailer is none other than producer – director Karan Johar. Karan Johar took to his Twitter handle to congratulate Prithviraj Sukumaran on the Kuruthi trailer, and mention that he loved the trailer and how excited he is to watch the film.

For those not in the know, Kuruthi is a Malayalam thriller film, directed by Manu Warrier, and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Roshan Mathew, Srindaa, Mammukoya, Shine Tom Chacko and Murali Gopi in pivotal roles. Touted as a revenge and redemption drama, Kuruthi is releasing directly on digital, on Amazon Prime Video as an Onam release. Kuruthi release date on Amazon Prime Video is 11th August, and the film will release globally on the platform.
