Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas took to social media to reveal that they will be announcing the Oscar nominations this year. The announcement for the 93rd Academy Award nominees will be made on Monday, 15th March via a live event on Academy’s website and on its Facebook, Twitter and YouTube handles.
There are 23 categories for which the nominees will be announced through presentations that will take place in two parts.
While the announcement about Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas revealing the nominees was made by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) on its official website, Priyanka Chopra shared the same through her Instagram and twitter handles using a popular short video feature.
In the goofy video Chopra is seen trying to use a viral trend where she says, “Tell me we are announcing the Oscar nominations without telling me we are announcing Oscar nominations.” Her husband Jonas then makes her realize that she actually just told the same to the viewers. Chopra finishes off the video with a fun note by saying, “Well, that’s good enough. We are announcing the Oscar nominations.”
Hey @TheAcademy, any chance I can announce the Oscar nominations solo? 😂 Just kidding, love you @nickjonas! We are so excited to be announcing the #OscarNoms on Monday, March 15th at 5:19AM PDT! Watch it live on @TheAcademy's Twitter! pic.twitter.com/fB5yyEtWK6
