The official selection of the 72nd San Sebastian Film Festival will end with a screening of John Crowley’s love drama “We Live in Time,” which will take place outside of competition. The movie, starring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield, will make its European debut in San Sebastian and its international premiere in Toronto.
Starring as two individuals whose lives are irrevocably altered by an accident that brings them together are Pugh and Garfield. Authored by Nick Payne We Live in Time follows Almut (Pugh) and Tobias (Garfield) as they learn to treasure every second of the journey their love story has taken, told in a series of vignettes.
As a well-known actor, director, and television personality, Crowley debuted in a feature film “Intermission” (2003), which was featured in San Sebastian’s New Directors section. Garfield, who previously worked with Crowley on “Boy A,” has received praise from critics for his performances in “Hacksaw Ridge” and “The Social Network.”
Two Academy Award nominations for Best Actor have been extended to him for the films “tick, tick, BOOM!” and “Hacksaw Ridge.” Also known to his fans as The Amazing Spider-Man, Garfield’s innovative growth in the industry makes We Live in Time a must-watch for his fans.
We Live in Time is set for release in Spanish Cinemas on January 3rd, 2025 whereas it will be released in the US on 11th October 2024. Fans from the UK and Ireland would have to wait till 1st January to see the epic tale unfold on the big screen.
