The release date for Danish Sait’s much-talked-about comedy ‘One Cut Two Cut’ is out. The film will release on Prime Video on 3rd February. One Cut Two Cut comes from the stables of PRK Productions. It is the prolific film studio of late actor Puneeth Rajkumar.
One Cut Two Cut is an adventure comedy drama with satirical undertones. It stars adorable comedian Danish Sait as Gopi, an art teacher who takes up a new job in a school. Woe befalls Gopi on the first day of school itself. His first day at work becomes a task of saving the school, which has been taken hostage by four radical social media activists. The premise sounds interesting, and should make for a fun watch.
One Cut Two Cut is directed by Vamsidhar Bhogaraju, and produced by Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar and Gurudatha Talwar under the PRK banner. The film also stars Prakash Belawadi, Samyukta Hornad, Vineeth ‘Beep’ Kumar, and Sampath Maitreya in pivotal roles.
Initially meant for theatrical release, One Cut Two Cut has now skipped theatres to release directly on Prime Video. The film’s release on Prime Video is the streamer’s attempt to honour the memory and legacy of the beloved actor who departed too soon, leaving his fans in a state of shock.
In all, three Kannada films from Puneeth Rajkumar’s PRK Productions will skip theatres to premiere directly on the service. The three Kannada films are ‘Man of the Match’, ‘One Cut Two Cut’ and ‘Family Pack’.
Paying a humble tribute to the legend, Prime Video will also make five of his most memorable movies— Law, French Biryani, Kavaludaari, Mayabazaar & Yuvarathnaa, available to watch for free. The movies will be free to watch even for non-Prime members, for one month, starting from February 1.
