Mythri Movie Makers have pulled a fast one on all those who’ve been waiting to get a glimpse of the hotly awaited Telugu movie, Pushpa 2: The Rule. Not just that, they’ve also fooled the legions of fans of its star Allu Arjun.
How?
Coz, after promising “fire” in the form of the Pushpa 2 teaser, they’ve merely delivered a “phool”, that too a stale and dry one!
After promising the moon, Mythri Movie Makers have brought Pushpa fans crashing down to Earth, back to its dismally potholed roads.
After promising a feast of Allu Arjun’s distinguishing swag, Mythri Movie Makers have given us yesterday’s leftovers, that too served cold.
Get the gist?
No?
Allow us to explain.
Mythri Movie Makers went all out to hype that they are releasing the much-awaited teaser of their hotly awaited Pushpa 2. And they’ve been at it since the past week. Obviously, fans’ anticipation has hit the roof in this one week. So we’ve been expecting some explosive shots from Pushpa 2 as a treat on Allu Arjun’s birthday today.
But…but….what do we get?
Just a rehashed version of previously revealed glimpses of Allu Arjun in the name of the Pushpa 2 Teaser, that’s what!
Although one-minute long, the just dropped Pushpa 2: The Rule teaser teases nothing worthwhile about the upcoming film – no plot, no premise, no villain, no new entrants. All that we get is yet more glimpses of leading man Allu Arjun, aka Pushpa, dressed in garish colours, face painted in dramatic overtones, and “ghungroos” on his feet.
This look of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa has been out since one whole year – it was revealed same day last year on his birthday.
And this year we get the same look again, only in the form of a video this time, with thumping music adding to the larger-than-life image of Pushpa.
All that we can say is that we expected better from Mythri Movie Makers – more fire, more bombast.
Telugu film Pushpa 2: The Rule, the second part of the blockbuster movie Pushpa, will arrive in theatres across India on 15th August, 2024, as an Independence Day release.
