Netflixhas dropped the trailer for its upcoming Polish mini series ‘Queen’ and its all things emotional and overwhelming. Created by Árni Ásgeirsson, ‘Queen’ will premiere only on Netflix on 23rd June, 2022.
The trailer begins with an old man meeting his granddaughter Iza after a long time. She instantly recognises him and becomes fond of the way he looks like a royalty. The old man is back to his hometown for his daughter who is ill and needs a kidney.
Being his father, the old man is an apt choice for a donor and he readily agrees for the same. But when his daughter comes to know of his arrival, she gets pretty angry and does not even want to see him.
Things get a little rough there on as the old man tries to make up to his daughter while she remains adamant for quite a time. Having been unavailable for a long time and now coming into her life and offering help, the daughter does not even want him around.
But things start to change when she needs to set up a show but faces certain difficulties. That’s when the old man who has worked in theatres for 30 years as a drag queen steps in and offers his help. Though reluctant initially she lets him help after he reveals his stage personality Loretta to her.
What follows is a heartfelt, emotionally tough journey of long lost father and daughter reuniting and overcoming their own hurdles. ‘Queen’ is the story of a renowned Parisian tailor and drag Queen who returns to his hometown in Poland to make amends with his daughter, after a decade long absence.
‘Queen’ stars Andrzej Seweryn, Maria Peszek, Kova Réa, Julia Chetnicka, Antoni Porowski, Pawet Koslik, Henryk Niebudek and Piotr Witkowski. Created by Árni Asgeirsson, Polish mini series ‘Queen’ will start streaming exclusively on Netflix from 23rd June, 2022 onwards.
