Telugu superstar Ram Charan’s fifteenth film tentatively titled ‘RC15’ was launched today in a grand way in a star-studded Mahurat ceremony at Annapurna studios in Hyderabad. The event was graced by high-profile celebrities including megastar Chiranjeevi, Bollywood heartthrob Ranveer Singh and highly acclaimed filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli. The first clap was performed by Chiranjeevi himself during the event.
‘RC15’ is being touted as a Pan-Indian political action thriller which will see Ram Charan playing a double role. He will ostensibly play the role of an IAS officer in the film. Previously, the actor had also essayed a dual role in S.S. Rajamouli’s epic reincarnation film ‘Magadheera’. ‘RCI5’ will be directed by the supremely talented filmmaker Shankar.
During the event, a stylish concept poster of the film was revealed featuring its cast and crew members including lead actor Ram Charan, lead actress Kiara Advani, director Shankar, Dil Raju, Anjali, Sunil, Naveen Chandra, Jayaram, Thaman S, and Jani Master, amongst others, donning dapper black suits and shades.
‘RC15’ will mark the first actor-director collaboration between Ram Charan and Shankar. While the film will witness the pairing of Ram Charan and Kiara Advani for the second time after the 2019 actioner ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’.
Ram Charan’s forthcoming projects include one of the most highly anticipated films of the year – S.S Rajamouli’s ambitious project ‘RRR’. Besides ‘RRR’, the talented performer will be sharing screen space with his megastar father Chiranjeevi in their next film ‘Acharya’. Kiara Advani, who is fresh off the heels of the immense success of ‘Shershaah’, has a slate of films in the pipeline such as ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.
Knowing Shankar’s penchant for generous use of special effects, explosive storytelling, and the latest technology in his films (Indian, Nayak, Enthiran, 2.0) and with superstar Ram Charan as the lead actor combined with a brilliant technical team, it seems like ‘RC15’ has all the essential ingredients of a potential blockbuster.
Shankar intends to release ‘RC15’ sometime in the latter half of the year 2022.
