Allu Arjun is venturing into the pan-Indian market with Pushpa: The Rise which is gearing up for theatrical release on the 17th of December. The makers had organized a grand pre-release event in Hyderabad the other night and it was a gala affair. Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli, who is currently awaiting the release of RRR attended the event as the chief guest and he gave a wake-up call of sorts to Allu Arjun.
“I have been visiting Mumbai a lot lately as I am busy with RRR’s post-production and promotions. I have been speaking with people in Mumbai and they are all talking about Pushpa. The Bollywood folks are interested in Pushpa. I am advising you(Allu Arjun) to promote the film aggressively in Mumbai. You have a solid platform laid out and it is upon you to make the most of it. Don’t take things lightly. Go there and promote your film to the best of your capabilities,” Rajamouli said.
Allu Arjun was seen nodding yes to Rajamouli’s suggestion and he might well take a cue from the latter who has been aggressively promoting RRR in major cities across the country.
Owing to the tight shooting schedules, Allu Arjun was occupied with Pushpa: The Rise’s shoot till the very last minute and he could get to start promoting the film from the 10th of December. The onus is now on Allu Arjun to devise a whirlwind promotional plan targeted at Mumbai and other major circuits across the country. He has the better part of 3 days to aggressively promote Pushpa: The Rise and build solid pre-release buzz to the film ahead of its worldwide theatrical relese.
