It’s an ‘Annatthe‘ Diwali! The trailer for the most anticipated Tamil film of the year is finally out and we can’t keep calm! This Diwali will see a clash between some hugely anticipated Tamil films making this festive season a star-studded affair. The major scheduled Kollywood theatrical releases currently are Silambarasan’s ‘Maanaadu’, Rajinikanth’s ‘Annaatthe’ and the latest to join the race, the Arya-Vishal starrer ‘Enemy’. Fans have been anxious for an update on the teaser of ‘Annaatthe’, with the film repeatedly trending, though the wait is finally over.
Written and directed by Siva, the action drama ‘Annaatthe’ is said to be a sibling saga with actresses Meena, Khushboo and Keerthy Suresh playing sisters of the megastar. The teaser sets the tone of the film right at the onset and it seems to be an action packed film, perfect for a theatrical release. Packed with a powerful theme and heart-thumping music, one can surely expect some whistle worthy dialogues and signature moves from the superstar. We can’t wait for the trailer of the film, to get a better understanding of the gripping story that should follow.
Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures, ‘Annaatthe’ features an ensemble cast comprising Rajinikanth, Meena, Khushboo, Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh, alongwith Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Vela Ramamoorthy and Soori in supporting roles. It was also reported earlier that the theatrical distribution rights of ‘Annaatthe’ were sold for half the price as compared to Rajinikanth’s previous movies. What remains to be seen is how the clash works out for the three releases, with all having to struggle for maximum screens. Only time will tell if they eat into each others’ profits. Regardless, viewers are surely in for a treat with this Diwali theatre bonanza!
