Hit: The First Case was a Telugu film released in 2020. It starred Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles. It was a highly successful mystery action thriller that was praised by both critics and the audience. The second part of the film is already announced but it is also seeing a Hindi remake.
Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra are roped in the project and the film has also got a release date. These days Rajkumar Rao is gracing the headlines with his wedding with long time partner Patralekha. But the actor is back to work and his next film is all set to release on 20th May 2022.
We are seeing a trend in Hindi cinema. If a film is a remake of some South Indian film then they also tend to direct the Hindi version. Priyadarshan had been doing it for a long time. Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who directed Arjun Reddy in Telugu also directed its Hindi remake popularly known as Kabir Singh.
This trend becomes even more prominent with this film. Sailesh Kolanu who happened to direct the original Telugu version is also directing the Hindi version with Rajkumar Rao and Sanya Malhotra.
In this film, we would see Rajkumar Rao playing a CID officer who will be investigating a homicide case. Just like every hero out there, he is also very sharp and can notice details just like Sherlock Holmes. But quite obviously he falls for his colleagues who happened to be forensic officials. If you want to watch the original Telugu version then you can do so on Prime video. It will be interesting to see if the Hindi audience accepts the film just like the original Telugu version.
