Maddock Films is not stopping anytime soon. The production house led by Dinesh Vijan just released Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Chhaava’ in theatres last Friday and today they launched the teaser for their upcoming film ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’.
Desperate for marriage, Rajkumar Rao gets stuck in a time loop where the day before his marriage keeps on repeating over and over again. To his shock only he seems to notice this abnormality while others continue as usual.
A quirky family comedy drama, ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ is directed by ‘Maharani’ fame Karan Sharma and stars Rajkumar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in lead roles. The film is set to release in cinemas on 10th April, 2025 clashing with Sunny Deol’s ‘Jaat’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LLB 3’ (given it does not postpone).
Rajkumar Rao as usual looks great in his role as a small town guy, in fact he seems to be too comfortable playing it. And that raises the question is he getting stereotyped for such characters? We have seen him play similar characters in ‘Badhaai Do’, ‘Stree’, ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’, ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ and he doesn’t feel so different in in his other upcoming film ‘Toaster’.
No doubt Rajkumar Rao has a persona that suits such roles but his talent shouldn’t be bounded by it. He has proved his acting prowess time and again and it’s time we see more diversified range from Rao.
