Based on the life of Srikanth Bills, Rajkumar Rao starrer ‘Sri’ has now got a new release date. Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, ‘Sri’ will now release on 10th May, 2024.
Earlier scheduled to release on September this year, there has been an absolute silence on the film until now. The new release date announcement was made with a still from the film with Rajkumar Rao in wearing a sports t-shirt and track pants with Srikanth written on the back of the t-shirt. He is seen standing amidst other similarly dressed individuals.
‘Sri’ follows the inspirational and remarkable story of Srikanth Bolla, a prominent visually-impaired Indian industrialist and the founder of Bollant Industries. 31-year old Srikanth is the first international blind student in Management Science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a youth leader since 2005 and is a member of Lead India 2020: The Second National Youth Movement started by former President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Directed by Tushar Hiranandani and written by Sumit Purohit and Jagdeep Sidhu, ‘Sri’ stars Rajkumar Rao, Alaya F, Jyotika, Sharad Kelkar and Ravi Singh in prominent roles. Pratham Mehta handles the cinematography for the film.
