Chhalaang stars Rajkummar Rao and Nushrratt Bharuccha as the leads of the movie and mostly premised around their place of work, which is their lovely school where they are posted as teachers. While Rao’s character ‘Montu’ is PT teacher, Nushrratt plays the character of ‘Neelima’ who joins school as a Computer teacher. It seems like a good rom com but here comes the entry of the second lead, ‘Akash’ played by Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub, who apparently is ready to steal the thunder from our dearest Montu.
The story revolves around these three and their ups and downs of defeating one another. Where Akash is almost too good to be true, Montu seems like one who fails everyday but gets up the next day to do it again with a smile, just like most of us. The genre of the movie is set to be comedy along with drama.
Directed by Hansal Mehta, the winner of National Film Award for Best Direction, the movie is produced by Luv Ranjan, Ajay Devgn, Ankur Garg and Bhushan Kumar. The music score for the movie is by Hitesh Sonik, Guru Randhawa, Vishal-Shekhar and Yo Yo Honey Singh. Chhalaang is set to be released on the 13th of November, this Diwali.
The movie also has an amazing supporting cast of Satish Kaushik, Saurabh Shukla, Ila Arun along with some others. Story of Chhalaang mostly focuses on how one should have their own respect in their place of work and not be demeaned even if it means someone is better at doing something than the other.
Diwali this year might be dull due to a pandemic, but sure wouldn’t be dull when one tunes in to watch Chhalaang and see how far our laughter jumps.
