Director duo Raj & DK are on a roll! The creators of ‘The Family Man’ series have cemented their position in the web world and are currently basking in the success of ‘The Family Man 2’. According to reports, their latest collaboration with Netflix happens to be on a another web series, that will most likely star actors Rajkummar Rao and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead. Although the two haven’t signed on the dotted line, it’s just a matter of time before they do. The female leads and other cast members are yet to be finalised though.
Directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK are currently busy with their web series tentatively titled ‘Sunny’ in collaboration with Amazon Prime Video. The action-thriller show is currently being filmed and features Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi and Raashii Khanna in the lead. Interestingly, the show will see Kapoor as the protagonist and Sethupathi as the antagonist.
The new Netflix show will be actor Rao’s second collaboration with Raj & DK after ‘Stree’ alongside Shraddha Kapoor. The show is likely to go on floors sometime next year post the completion of ‘Sunny’. Incidentally, the director duo also have another web show in collaboration with Amazon Prime Video inspired by ‘Citadel’ from the Russo Brothers (of ‘Avengers’ fame). The Indian edition of the show is reportedly being made in collaboration with the makers of the original and is likely to retain the same name. The show stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Varun Dhawan in lead roles and also marks the digital debut of Dhawan.
